Ag Profitability Conference

Sedgwick County has invited YPs to next week’s Ag Profitability Conference at the Extension Office on 21st and Ridge Rd (7001 W. 21st St. N.). The event will be next Tuesday, December 8th. The exciting thing about this year’s conference is that the keynote speaker will be the USDA Deputy Under-Secretary, Michael Scuse. He will be the lunchtime keynote and then take questions. You can come for the entire event or just for lunch and Mr. Scuse’s remarks and it is only $15. Lunch begins serving at 11:30 and Mr. Scuse will be up to speak around 12:15. The lunch session will be over by 1:30.


This is a great opportunity to hear and meet one of our appointed-Federal officials. It may also be a good chance for Young Professionals to network with local producers and business folks who may be outside of their regular circle of contacts. There will, most likely, be a good number of local elected officials in attendance to visit with, due to the high-profile nature of the keynote speaker.
