Displaced_Workers
The program provides a reduced tuition rate for laid off workers that can mean up to a 50 percent savings per credit hour. In order to receive the reduced tuition rate, laid off workers need to present their official corporate employment separation notice during the enrollment process. Students can begin studying under the reduced rate during the spring, summer and fall 2009 semesters, and can continue under this reduced rate for four consecutive fall and spring semesters. Summer semesters may also be utilized and do not count toward the four semester
total.

Veterans_Services
As a participant in the Yellow Ribbon G.I. Education Enhancement Program, Newman fits your budget! Newman agrees to waive up to 50% of tuition and fees that exceed the highest undergraduate tuition and fees charged at the most expensive public university in Kansas. The VA will match the amount Newman waives (not to exceed current tuition/fee charges).

The Yellow Ribbon Program is designed for veterans as well as active duty personnel and their family members who wish to attend a degree-granting, private college or university. Under this new program, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will match dollar for dollar the amount a participating institution like Newman chooses to contribute. Only veterans who are eligible to receive 100% of the benefit rate provided under the bill may participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program.
