Join us for “YPW Big for a Day” at the Sedgwick County Zoo!

Volunteer your time to a child in need!  YPW is partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters to help recruit volunteers that can offer friendship and guidance to at-risk youth in our community.

Representatives from Big Brothers Big Sisters will provide a brief presentation to members of YPW about the different programs available.  YPs will then have an opportunity to revisit their childhood by being matched with a child for the duration of the event and exploring the latest attractions at the Sedgwick County Zoo.

By participating in this event, you have the opportunity to spend time with a child on the Big Brothers Big Sisters waiting list that is in search of a Big Brother or Big Sister.  You can even volunteer with your spouse or your entire family.  After the event you will be able to decide if you would like to become a Big in the program by being matched to a child. 

The cost of this event is $15 per person, which covers your admission to the zoo as well as admission for a Little Brother or Sister. 

Lunch will be included.
